Eckankar: 50 Years

segnalibro

1965 - 2015

In 1965 Eckankar entered its current era when its modern-day founder, Paul Twitchell, established it as an outer organization. Over the fifty years since, Eckankar has grown into a global religion with members in 140 countries. Guided by the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master, its purpose is to afford every Soul a direct path home to God.

Sri Harold Klemp, the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master has established the Eckankar Spiritual Campus in Chanhassen, Minnesota, as Eckankar's spiritual home. Its beautiful 174 acres are home as well to a thriving community of Minnesota wildlife and vegetation.

Among the trees are oaks, ash, wild cherry, and many sugar maples. The city of Chanhassen gets its name from the Dakota (Sioux) words for the sugar maple, meaning "tree with sweet juice".

When a campus tree is lost to natural causes, its wood is often put to good use. Many benches and donation pillars in the Temple of ECK are "campus wood", as are some benches on the contemplation trails.

This bookmark is made of wood from a sugar maple that spent its lifetime on the land that became the Eckankar Spiritual Campus. May it serve you as a personal study aid, a way to share ECK with another, a gift to a loved one, or simply as a special reminder of God's love for all life.

Some bookmarks are still available. For more information,
